How is Ferguson Landscape Service Qualified to work with you at your home?
Licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) #96857
The Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) licenses and regulates home improvement contractors, subcontractors and salespersons. All home improvement
contractors are required to carry a license from the state. The commission investigates customer complaints, awards monetary damages against licensed contractors and
prosecutes violators of the home improvement law and regulations. A Guaranty Fund (the Fund) is set up, paid for by licensees, in order to award clients damages should
a licensed contractor not satisfy a contract. Many contractors are not licensed because they would rather not pay the fees or take the tests to qualify for a license in their
trade. Ferguson Landscape Service is not above the law and we value the security that working with a licensed contractor affords the homeowner.
Here are some facts about the difference between licensed and unlicensed contractors from the Commission’s website:

Certified Paver Installer by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI)
The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute sets industry standards for the proper installation of concrete pavers. The goal for all ICPI certified
paver installers is for the installation to last as far into the future as one can imagine. The motto of the ICPI Certified Installer is “the patio (or any
other structure) is only as good as the base it is laying on” so careful attention is paid to installing a proper foundation. You may not be able to see
it but we know it’s there and that is why Ferguson Landscape Service offers a lifetime labor-free warrantee on the base of the pavers.
Check out the ICPI website for more information: http://www.icpi.org/
Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer by The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA)
The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) develops industry standards for the proper installation of retaining walls, garden
and seat walls. Segmental retaining walls are built to last. These walls are standing largely under their own weight. When the base, the
drainage patterns around the wall and the soil structure are all properly accounted for prior to installation, the wall will continue to
stand on it’s own far, far into the future.
